After months of speculation, Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli have set the record straight about their relationship following reports the pair are only together for business reasons. This morning, the controversial Australian Married At First Sight star— who befriended Ines Basic and Jessika Power on the hit series— took to her YouTube channel to address rumours the pair had parted ways, reassuring fans that they’re still loved up and very much together!

Well aware that people thought they’d parted ways (after they moved back in with their parents and flew from Melbourne to Sydney without him) Martha decided to scroll through Michael’s private Instagram messages in a bid to see if he’d been contacted by other women who were trying to seduce him.
“Seeing as everyone thinks we have broken up, I’ve been thinking, “I wonder what girls are writing to him in his [Instagram] direct messages?”‘ the former Channel Nine reality star said in the video titled ‘the truth about our breakup’.
After searching for scandalous material, the professional makeup artist— who’s been dubbed as Kim Kardashian’s lookalike— admitted she was disappointed no one had been trying to contact the primary school teacher following rumours he was finally single.
“I kind of feel like, ew. No one wants you, what am I doing with you?” the controversial MAFS star joked, to which Michael responded: “Anyway, so the reason we broke up is because I don’t get enough DMs from other women wanting me. If I’d said to Martha let me go through your DMS, it would have been World War III… I would have been hung and castrated.”
Their video comes weeks after rumours began circulating that Martha’s intentions with Michael were no longer pure, with many believing she was using her on-screen ‘husband’ in an attempt to promote her social media accounts and newly created YouTube channel.
“Martha is only focused on two things at the moment – her YouTube channel and increasing her Instagram followers,” a source close to the pair claims. “Now that she’s got her wish, you can put money on the fact that she will dump him within a month…”
