It looks like Ariana Grande‘s fifth album will be here sooner rather than later.
On Monday, the 20-year-old singer teased that she’ll be dropping her new LP on Feb. 8 — telling a fan on Twitter who asked if it was releasing that day that it sure would be “convenient.”
“Two albums in six months huh. That’s deep. Love u. Talk soon,” Grande also wrote, adding in another tweet that the album’s cover and tracklist would be released on Friday (the same day it will become available for preorder).
She also joked that the breakup record will be perfect for those planning on celebrating Valentine’s Day solo.
Grande has already released three songs off of the record, which she started recording after her whirlwind romance with Pete Davidson ended in October.
The song found Grande reviewing her past romances with dancer Ricky Alvarez, rapper Big Sean, Davidson, and the late rapper Mac Miller — who died in September. In the lyrics, she praises all of them for helping fuel her personal growth.
That theme kept going with “Imagine,” which Grande put out less than a month later in December.
Last week, Grande released her newest single, ‘7 Rings.’
The R&B track was heavily inspired by “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music and it speaks to Grande’s strong friendships and new sense of independence.
“Wearing a ring but ain’t gon’ be no missus /Bought matching diamonds for six of my bitches, I’d rather spoil all my friends with my riches/Think retail therapy my new addiction,” Grande sings in the empowerment anthem, before affirming, “I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it.”
She even makes a nod to her emotional year, singing, “Been through some bad s—/I should be a sad bitch/Who would’ve thought it’d turn me to a savage/Rather be tied up with gauze and not strings/Write my own checks like I write what I sing.”
