Asher Keddie has won even the harshest critics over with her portrayal of Dr Nina Proudman on Offspring, however, the star has opened up about one story line that truly touched her.
On August 16, the show which has spanned over seven seasons saw her character Dr Nina emotionally watch her patient realise that her newborn was stillborn.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Keddie, 42 said it was “confronting” to read the script before she acted out the scenes, but in hindsight, she feels proud as “it’s life”.
The heartbreaking episode which aired last night received a lot of positive feedback from fans online, commending the show’s creators for covering such a taboo yet important subject.
Perhaps the most emotional part of the Wednesday night episode was that following the stillbirth scene, Proudman finds out she and her partner Harry (played by Alexander England) are expecting a baby.
