On Thursday night, Bachelor fans were treated to a brand new trailer for the upcoming series starring leading man Jimmy Nicholson.

However, there was a sweet moment in the clip that proved just how far the franchise has come since 2013.
The borderline cheesy trailer shows pilot Jimmy walking through an airport, surrounded by loving couples embracing.
One of these is a same-sex couple who Jimmy sees on the escalators looking lovingly into each other’s eyes.
After years of audiences begging for diversity, it seems like the Bachelor production team is listening even more!
The trailer was well-received by fans, including several former Bachie stars.
“HOW GREAT IS THIS!? best intro yet I reckon… really pulls those heart strings!” exclaimed 2018 Bachelor contestant Brittany Hockley.
“This is SO GOOD 👏🏼,” gushed last season’s Bec Cvilikas.
Jimmy himself shared the trailer to his own Instagram profile and captioned it: “Can’t wait to share this amazing journey I’ve been on!”
In another trailer, we also saw one of the ladies vying for Jimmy’s heart who makes a statement on the red carpet.
The contestant, dressed in a long black dress, sits Jimmy down in an aeroplane seat and makes her own version of a flight attendant’s announcement.
“Welcome on board Bachelor Airways flight 2021,” she says in the clip.
And it seems Jimmy was a big fan of the move as he can be heard saying in the next clip: “Really happy to sign my life away there and then.”

When it was announced that Jimmy would be the guy handing out roses this year, fans were delighted that it wasn’t an ex-contestant or celebrity and that we were finally seeing some racial diversity – Jimmy is of New Zealand and Fijian heritage.
“I am a big believer in embracing any opportunity that presents itself, especially if it has the potential to change your life for the better,” Jimmy said in an official statement.
“The journey ahead will be one of the most challenging experiences that I have ever undertaken, however I am very excited to meet someone that I could potentially spend the rest of my life with.”
