From ‘friendzoning’ Brittney Weldon to his intense connection with Timm Hanly, this 40-year-old firefighter made his mark.

So is Doran as intense in real life?

“No! When people meet me in person they’re surprised at how relaxed I am,” he tells WHO. “I’m no clinger but I’ll own everything you see on screen.”

So what’s the deal with his friendship with Timm Hanly?

“The scenes when he was going to leave Fiji were really hard for me to watch,” says Doran. “But at the time I was hurting. Timm was there for me after I was on The Bachelorette with Angie. I was receiving a lot of negative criticism, so I went to Melbourne and spent a lot of time with him.”

Doran adds that he and Hanly remain close and speak every day.

“I just want everyone to know that my reaction to Timm leaving came from a good place. In that moment I just felt that I couldn’t continue in Paradise without him.”

Despite seemingly breaking Brittney Weldon’s heart in an earlier episode, Doran says she’s the woman he felt the most for in Fiji.

“I’ll cherish my time with her,” he says. “She beams such a beautiful, positive energy.”

But that didn’t translate into love.

“I’m quite fussy when it comes to a partner though,” he adds. “I still haven’t met anyone yet who ticks all my boxes.”

On Wednesday Jamie shared a statement revealing that he is taking legal action against Network 10 and Warner Bros Australia.

“This is not the news I wanted to post, but I feel I owe this to at least my family, friends, and also fans of The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise,” Jamie’s post said.

“After lengthy consideration, I’ve decided to begin legal proceedings against Network 10 and Warner Bros Australia.

“I’m not going to comment on this any further for he time being and would appreciate it if people would respect my privacy.”
