“When we saw you, we knew. When I saw how Elijah looked at you, I knew,” the reality TV star wrote alongside an adorable snap of her son touching their new furry friend through its enclosure. “Meet Elton(Taxi). Elton had a pretty rough start to his doggo journey but now, he has his forever home with us and our hearts are very full.”
She then shared another cute picture of Elvis looking right at home on her bed!
As expected, people praised the 27-year-old for adopting a dog who needed a home rather than one from a pet store.
“I loveeeee that you adopted!!! Setting a great example to everyone to save a bubba👏🏻,” one Instagram user commented. “Rescued is the best type of puppy. The most rewarding feeling saving a fur baby,” another added.
Last month, the former Bachelor contestant— who won the series and Richie Strahan’s heart on season four of the popular show— revealed she’s returning to our screens to act as the Teen Mom Australia Correspondent in the new reality series, Teen Mom Australia.
“I’m so excited to watch these young, capable Mothers on their journeys into motherhood. See them through their rises and falls and watch them overcomes challenges and grow as people/parents,” said the affable TV star who was 18-years-old when she gave birth to her son Elijah.
“That was me and I feel like watching their stories unfold will remind me of where I was when I first fell pregnant. What I felt, What I went through. I think it’s also very exciting for these young women to be acknowledged and recognised because motherhood is challenging no matter what age it comes to you.”
“How the hell is she a good mentor for young teens? I won’t be watching she’s a tv reality try hard! We’ve seen enough of you Alex thanks but no thanks,” one social media user wrote.
instead of stooping to their level, Alex took the higher ground by wishing the trolls nothing but “wonderful things”.
