If anyone asked you what was one of the biggest takeaways from The Bachelorette in 2019, you’d be hard pressed not to think about the awful and humiliating way former suitor Jess Glasgow treated the then Bachelorette, Angie Kent.

In case you don’t remember – and we’re sorry we have to bring it back to your mind’s attention – but the then-37-year-old infamously told her, “don’t mind me if I get some wandering fingers, alright,” before pretending to lick her backside during one pose.

It was one of the ugliest parts of the season and something that Angie is still trying to escape from. And, while Angie has previously admitted that Jess has apologised after the episode first aired, when she spoke out again about the situation earlier this week, he slid into her DMs and criticised her.

In a private message screenshot shared on Angie’s Instagram Stories, Jess “apologised” for his “childish and disrespectful” behaviour, not before blaming the edit for what was shown and telling her to “move on with this [because] it’s not doing you any favours.”

The former reality TV star, who once stuck his tongue out near Angie’s leg during an episode of The Bachelorette, then went on to a list a series of problems in the world that are apparently worth more of a conversation – from “energy crisis” to “countries going at each other like it’s a war in a sandpit between children” – which led Angie  to accuse him of “mansplaining” instead of really apologising.

Angie then kept the receipts and reminded him, “please don’t tell me what to do.”

“This isn’t just about you Jess. This is about all men – like I have stated one hundred times in my posts and stories,” she began to explain in a recent Instagram Story. “It’s just that your case popped up and watching you there saying it was all in the edit makes me sick because it wasn’t.”

“You made me uncomfortable. You made the crew uncomfortable. You even made the men feel uncomfortable.”

Last week, the ABC reported that a Noosa Shire counsellor conduct tribunal fined the then-Noosa Shire councillor $5000 last week for his behaviour on the show in 2019.

They referred to a lot of stuff in that tribunal report that [the show’s producers] actually told me to do,” he told the ABC

“But moving forward, I don’t hold the office of council anymore… and I really think there’s no evidence to back this up.”
