Bachelorette leading lady Becky Miles and winner Pete Mann have announced their split, following weeks of speculation that the blonde beauty didn’t find love on the show.

The 30-year-old – who starred alongside her younger sister Elly in a global first for the franchise – took to Instagram on Friday morning just hours after the finale aired.
“We came into this experience wanting a fairy tale ending for the two of us, and while I am thrilled that Elly found her person in Frazer, unfortunately, things didn’t work out with Pete and me,” she wrote, via the official Bachelorette Australia account.
“Although I wasn’t lucky enough to find my person this time around, I am grateful for this opportunity and leave with fond memories and no regrets.
“I wish Pete happiness and all the best in his search for love.”
Adelaide-based café owner Pete also shared the news with his 11.1k followers on social media.
“I came on this show to follow my heart and find love but unfortunately in the end true love was not meant to be,” he captioned a snap of the pair in happier times.
“Becky is a wonderful woman and I wish her nothing but happiness in life and love. It is truly what she deserves.”
Becky chose to pin her final rose lapel on the suit jacket of Pete after enjoying one-on-one dates in regional NSW with the 34-year-old and kite surfing instructor, Adrian Baena.
“Every date we’ve been on you’ve made me feel so comfortable,” she told him. “You’re so trustworthy and you’re such a kind soul. I know with you there were some concerns there about whether you were ready, but there’s so much potential there with us that you’re worth taking that risk.
“I wanna be the person that makes you happy.”
However, it’s believed the couple struggled with the concept of long-distance, with neither wanting to relocate to start their life together.
“Pete doesn’t ever want to leave Adelaide and Becky never wants to leave Newcastle, it’s as simple as that really,” a source told the The Wash.
Speaking with hosts Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley on the Life Uncut podcast earlier this week, Becky had a curious answer when asked if the pair were in love.
“I wouldn’t say love! But I’m definitely in a happy place,” she said. “I feel like the road to love is a bit of a journey right? And I just want that time on the outside to just get to know my person, and have fun and just do real life.”
She further fuelled the speculation she was now single in a chat with WHO, when she turned the focus to her sister’s budding romance, remarking that she’d “never seen Elly so smitten.”
Elly, 26, found her happily ever after with Brisbane-based concreter Frazer Neate. The couple confirmed on social media on Friday that they are still going strong in a video message posted to the official Bachie account.
“We’re really excited for the future now that everything is out in the open and we can sort of get started,” she said. “We’re excited to do real-life together, go on some adventures, make some memories and get to know each other outside of the experience that we’ve had.”
