Her mother Yolanda has well-documented her battle with Lyme disease, and now Bella Hadid has given fans a glimpse into her own fight against the illness.
The model, 19, shared a photo of herself to Snapchat showing an IV drip hooked to her arm while lying in bed, captioned: “Everyday.”
Bella previously opened up about her battle with Lyme Disease in a candid interview with Glamour magazine, describing the debilitating symptoms she struggles with all the time.
“It starts with brain fog; for a while I couldn’t put sentences together. I’m really tired a lot,” the model told Glamour of the infectious disease. “A few weeks ago I had a big campaign shoot that I had to reschedule. It’s hard, but I push through, because at the end of the day, if you’re not working, somebody else is.”
Hadid and her younger brother Anwar, 17, were diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2013. Her sister Gigi, 21, is the only family member not affected by the disease.
In June Bella previously praised her mother on Instagram, for her strength battling the illness, writing:
“I have been struggling with Lyme and other co-infections for the past two years which has debilitated me from riding my horses, going to school, and struggling with work which are all the things I am so passionate about. You are the only person that would believe me and understand what I was going through,” Hadid said.
