Last year’s Bachelor runner-up shared a candid message to fellow Sydneysiders on Tuesday night, saying she’s “experienced a roller coaster of different emotions” whilst being stuck at home.
“I’ve had my moments where I’ve tried snapping out of it and I put a smile on and feel good for a bit but overall I’m anxious, I’m drained and I’m lonely,” the 26-year-old wrote to her 100,000 followers.
“I miss my family and friends, I miss driving over to cuddle my mum or dad, I miss planning trips away and exploring I miss working and being able to live freely.”
Bella encouraged anyone who is “questioning their self worth” to try and persevere.
“I know I try to be a force of positivity on here, but I also need to be real and I’m not like that all the time, especially not lately,” she said.
“I love you guys and I hope you’re all okay today, you’re all worthy of an abundance of love and happiness and I’m grateful for you all. Hopefully we don’t have too much longer of this.”
Bella has been open about her mental health struggles during Sydney’s lockdown, which is now in its eleventh week.
“It’s SO hard to be positive in the present moment but I’m trying immensely hard to remember that focusing on feeling good, means the good will come to fruition,” she said last month.
The former Bachelor beauty also admitted that she took time off social media due to backlash over her posts.
“But, my life coach made me realise that the people that have been criticising me aren’t the ones I do this for, you, the sweet, beautifully hearted, strong humans that love fashion, beauty, travel (albeit what’s allowed) and lifestyle are the ones I do this for,” she wrote.
“PSA I’ve put on 6kgs and haven’t been able to fit in any of my jeans so really haven’t felt confident in my skin lately but you know what, s**t happens and I can’t help that I’m an emotional eater.”
