Oaks Day is Ladies Day, and for the most part, they didn’t disappoint. Australia’s best-known celebrities were out in colourful force in the Birdcage at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Thursday.

Rachael Finch, Georgia Love and Nicole Trunfio also showed in power suits, while top WAG Jessie Murphy, the wife of Carlton AFL player Marc Murphy, made a style statement in a powder blue $4,390 Balmain shift dress.

Stylist Lana Wilkinson, who wouldn’t have looked out of place at the top of an altar, turned heads in an OTT, off-the-shoulder, pink tulle Toni Maticevski dress.

Rebecca Harding, who is currently dating Andy Lee, pulled out all the stops in a blush pink Balenciaga dress with black gloves and headband.

Worst

The Bachelor star Anna Heinrich, who has denied a split from her husband of one year Tim Robards, usually dresses to impress, but she dropped the ball on Oaks Day in a Forever New blue lace dress that peaked in 2014.
