Big Brother star Sophie Budack, who relocated back to Europe during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic last year, has found love in her home country of The Netherlands.

“Oh, he’s amazing! His name is Rutger and he’s my perfect match,” Sophie gushed to Daily Mail Australia.
“Since Big Brother, I spent the last year concentrating on me and wasn’t looking for love, but when love literally walks through your door, there’s nothing you can do.”
Sophie met Rutger through her younger sister Yasmin, and said there was an “instant connection” from their very first day together.
The 27-year-old and former flame, Chad, were inseparable while in the Big Brother house last year, however their relationship didn’t stand the test of time.
Sophie confirmed on her YouTube channel that the pair had split up due to long distance.
“On that note a lot of people will be asking about myself and Chad but there are some elements of my life I want to keep private,” she said in July last year.
“For now I am just taking it one step at a time and looking at the positives. At least now I can show you the other side of the world and a bit more of me”.
The most telling sign their romance was on a rocky path was when the former gymnast moved back to Europe after the show’s finale.
Sophie revealed she struggled to find work in Sydney amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In late 2020, the reality star said she plans to eventually move back to Australia, although her budding romance with Rutger could put a pin in that goal.
“My plan was always to come back,” she shared on Instagram.
“When I first came back to the Netherlands, it was only supposed to be for three months, but with coronavirus it kind of just carried on a bit longer than expected.”
