And, why.

Big Brother 2020 is just days away and while it feels as though it’s all anyone’s been talking about come next week, there’s going to be three particular names on every viewer’s lips.

WATCH: The first look at the Big Brother 2020 contestants entering the house.

The biggest difference from previous seasons is that up until the finale, Big Brother is prerecorded.

It will be the housemates themselves, rather than the public, who will determine who is evicted. Although, viewers will be able to vote for the ultimate winner of the $250,000 prize.

Nomination challenges will be held, with the winner getting to decide which three housemates will be up for eviction.

Housemates will then vote, Survivor-style, for the person they want to be evicted. Also like Survivor, that will bring an element of gameplay and strategy to Big Brother that hasn’t previously been part of the show.

Meet the housemates who will be getting strategic from day one.

KIERAN

As the first person to enter the Big Brother house, the self-proclaimed worst driver in Adelaide, 21, was always going to be memorable, especially given the task Big Brother asks him to complete.

But Kieran also attracts attention thanks to his willingness to embrace the new strategic element of Big Brother this season (starts Mon., Jun. 8 at 7.30pm; Seven).

“I want to play a bold strategic game that allows me to survive under intense pressure,” the videographer says.

“I will be the type of housemate that won’t be afraid to say how it is, make bold strategic moves, and lie and cheat to get to the end of the game.”

That said, Kieran does admit one of his weaknesses is “worrying too much about things I can’t control”. Good luck with that!

ANGELA

It is a brave person who decides to take on the all-powerful Big Brother.

Meet 38-year-old function and event manager Angela, who quickly chastises Big Brother for the rations provided for housemates.

Will her take-charge attitude win her friends or gain her enemies in the house?

“My husband says I’m a smart ass and I said, ‘Remove the ass’, Angela says. “I’m just smart. And loyal and kind.”

As for the type of person who might end up on the receiving end of Angela’s tell-it-like-it-is personality, the Kenyan-born, Perth-based mother of two says: “I don’t like stupid people, I’m very impatient and go deep, so if you can’t go deep, then I’m not interested.

I also don’t like bullies because I was bullied in primary school and it makes my blood boil.”

TALIA

The 22-year-old construction assistant from Adelaide is used to being underestimated because of her looks.

“I’m a very smart, strong and confident girl, but not many people know that about me because of my appearance,” she says “I shock a lot of people.”

But if Talia can handle managing dozens of men on a work site, then dealing with 20 housemates in the Big Brother house should be a walk in the park.

We won’t reveal exactly why Talia will have viewers talking in week one, but suffice it to say she plays a pivotal role in the way the game develops from the outset.

“I hate when people start unnecessary drama,” she teases about what to expect from her. “The show is going to create drama with the housemate eviction so there will be enough already.”
