In a dramatic episode that featured two separate eliminations, Jessika Power and Imogen Anthony were both sent home from the Big Brother Hotel on Monday night. Leaving Luke Toki, Josh Carroll, and Ellie Gonsalves in the running for tomorrow night’s grand finale of Big Brother VIP.

Unlike the traditional Big Brother Australia format, the contestants haven’t been fighting it out for prize-money for themselves – but have been aiming to win the $100,000 for their chosen charity.
UPDATE: Luke Toki wins Big Brother VIP 2021
Though their causes are worthwhile, the game-play has still been superb on this season of BBVIP. One major alliance came to a close this evening, after facing some major ups and downs.
In the first elimination of the evening, Ellie had the power to choose who would be up for elimination – and ultimately sent home – nominating both Jess and Imogen. The final nail in the coffin in their once strong alliance, the move resulted in Jess being sent home with Luke and Josh voting.
“It definitely bites a bit knowing that I made it this far, but didn’t make it to the end,” Jess said upon elimination, adding that she was excited to see who would take out the top prize.
Later in the episode, Josh was the one to make the final call on who to send home and, even though he knew Ellie and Luke would be strong competitors to face in the finale, stuck to his word and voted out Imogen.
“I’m really proud of myself… I did not expect to be so transformed by this experience,” Imogen said as she left, leaving the final three in the BBVIP Hotel.
Now that just Ellie, Josh, and Luke remain, one of these celebrities will take out the top spot on Tuesday night’s finale. But who will it be? The current favourite to win may surprise you.
At the moment, it appears Ellie Gonsalves is in the lead, with Sportsbet placing her as the top prediction for the winner with odds of $1.80. In runner-up position, according to the website, is Luke Toki, with odds of $2.40
While the betting odds are just that, they are known to correctly predict the winner of shows including The Bachelorette, The Masked Singer and The Voice.
If she wins the competition, it’ll be the second-most exciting thing to happen this week as – outside of the BB Hotel, in the real world – she just got engaged to her partner of 13 years.
Ellie is an actress and a model, who has had roles in films like Fighting With My Family and Zebra, and worked on campaigns for brands like L’Oreal and Good American. She also appeared on the SBS series Filthy Rich and Homeless that aims to highlight the plight of homeless people living in Australia.
She’s competing on the show in the name of the Wildlife Warriors charity, an organisation dear to her heart as she “grew up surrounded by animals.”
Of her impact inside the BBVIP house, Ellie says she’s got no filter.
“I think people generally have a misconception about me and who I am,” she says. “I feel like I have a persona online where I’m very proper, but I love swearing. I’m so sarcastic and goofy and I think that’s one thing people won’t expect.”
Before ever setting foot in the game, Ellie revealed she would be giving it her all, saying: “I think I’m going to be a smiling assassin with a good game plan and be myself and if I’m myself, then I’ll be happy.”
