Will there be any Emily Henry screen adaptations?
Ever since fans got their hands on Emily Henry’s romance novels, they’ve been impatiently waiting for news of a screen adaptation…and lucky for us, there are multiple projects in the works!
Although we still have pretty minimal details, here’s what we know so far:
- Yulin Kuang is writing and directing a movie adaptation of Beach Read for 20th Century Studios. Cast and release date information is still not confirmed.
- Tom Blyth and Emily Bader are set to star in a feature film adaptation of People We Meet on Vacation. Learn more.
- A Book Lovers adaptation has also been confirmed however, details are still sparse on cast, release date and director.
- Jennifer Lopez’s Nuyorican Productions is adapting Happy Place into a television series.
- Despite only being released in 2024, a feature film adaptation of Funny Story has also been confirmed.
Is there a new Emily Henry book?
Emily’s latest novel Great Big Beautiful Life was released on April 28, 2025.
Looking back at the last five-ish years, Emily Henry has published a book annually, so we’re already looking towards 2026 to see if a new rom-com will hit the shelves! We’ll keep you updated if any new titles are announced.
