It’s long been rumoured that Married At First Sight’s Brent Vitiello has been dating his co-star, Ella Ding. However, fans are finding this week that their speculation might have been incorrect, as Brent teases what looks to be a possible new flame.
A source close to the couple reportedly told Yahoo!Lifestyle that the pair had split.
“They naturally gravitated towards each other as the show aired for support, then they got caught up in all of the rumours as fans speculated they were together,” the source said.
“However, after spending the past couple of weeks apart, they’ve both decided to just remain as friends. There are no hard feelings and no one is heartbroken, they both just realised the romance wasn’t really there.”
Brent and Ella were spending a lot of time together after the show finished airing, when it was revealed that neither had gone on to stay in relationships with their onscreen partners, Mitch Eynaud and Tamara Djordjevic (who are now rumoured to be dating each other).
The season nine stars were part of the same post-show group of friends, which also involved Domenica Calarco, Jack Millar, and Selina Chhaur.
However, the pair continually denied the rumours, despite constantly being papped together. They also denied any involvement with each other during filming.
“We were focusing on our relationships only, but I will say something now: if there’s any woman in the world that you would want as your partner, you’d want Ella,” Brent told Fitzy and Wippa at the MAFS reunion dinner party event on March 31.
However, it seems Brent may have moved on to someone else already.
Amid the news that the pair have decided to just be friends, a few eagle-eyed fans spotted Brent with his arm around a blonde girl in a recent Instagram photo, posted from a trip to the USA.
“Who’s the blonde chick!??” asked a fan, leading Brent to respond with a winking emoji.
“I’m a little upset over the blonde. I don’t want to see you with anyone else but Ella. #teambrella for everrrr,” wrote another.
“There will always be brella. But we are just close friends,” Brent responded.
The ‘blonde chick’, whose name is Taylor Davey, also shared a picture of Brent on her own socials, amid a few other travel snaps.
“Miss you my ding dong. A lil too much,” Brent commented on the post.
