Brittany Hockley is currently travelling the world alongside her pro tennis-player boyfriend, Jordan Thompson, and it’s a trip that has led to the creation of some unlikely friendships.
Speaking on her podcast, Life Uncut, Brittany’s friend and co-host, Laura Byrne asked her to explain just how exactly Britt has become friends with none other than Rebel Wilson.
“It turns out Rebel is a huge tennis fan, so I met her through a bunch of Jordan’s friends,” Brittany explained.
“It was very organic, she’s very cool, we just sort of clicked and we’ve just been hanging out,” she said.
Brittany posted a series of videos and photos to her Instagram of herself and Rebel enjoying Jordan’s first game at the US Open, which is currently taking place in New York.
Although the friendship is pretty new, Brittany seems to think she might have ‘manifested’ the friendship, having been a long-term fan of Rebel’s.
“Rebel has always been one of my favourite actresses, and one of my favourite Aussie actors because she’s so smart, she got into acting later in life, she’s a lawyer by trade, I just think she’s funny,” Britt gushed.
Her interest in Rebel led her to invite the actress onto the podcast, to which Rebel politely declined.
However, with the two now being super tight, a future guest appearance might be on the cards.
“Have you had the awkward conversation? Does she know that you slid into her DMs?” Laura asked.
“She 100 per cent would have to know. There’s no way she doesn’t know that happened,” Brittany laughed.
“But we just pretended – we were like, let’s just start fresh, let’s just pretend that didn’t happen,” she joked.
“I just want to say, if there is ever evidence of manifestation, this is it. Get manifesting.”
Brittany joined boyfriend Jordan on his touring schedule in June this year and has since travelled with him to Wimbledon and now to the US open.
She also recently spent her 34th birthday in the Bahamas, and regularly shares travel updates with Jordan and his friends in tow, which often include other famous tennis players.
