We’re officially settling in for a long summer of sitting on the couch because Stan’s latest drop is nothing short of iconic, and we are ready to watch – starting with every single episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
WATCH: Is this classic show making a comeback?
More than 20 years after the Scooby gang said goodbye to Sunnydale (because it, you know, imploded on itself), they are back and better than ever – ‘better’ because we have access to them 24/7, that is.
Yep, we can now get a hit of that angsty Buffy-Angel-forbidden-love any time we want it.
One overjoyed Buffy fan took to Twitter to share their joy, writing:
“IT FINALLY HAPPENED @StanAustralia has Buffy. I may have lost hope in human beings this past week but I can always rely on Stan to make my future life as a hermit the best life.”
And, you know what? We really felt that.
But Buffy and the crew aren’t the only ones we can catch up with at the touch of a button!
McDreamy and McSteamy are McBack, too, with Grey’s Anatomy joining the Aussie streaming service, giving us the chance to travel back in time to day one and fall in love with the hottest medical team ever all over again.
(And you’ll have to excuse us if we sit watching in pure contentment and not thinking about Grey’s star Ellen Pompeo‘s revelations earlier this year that there were “serious culture issues, very bad behaviour, [a] really toxic work environment” BTS for the first 10 years…)
We also get to stream complete seasons of Sons of Anarchy (hello, Charlie Hunnam, you total hottie!), How I Met Your Mother (“have you met Ted?”) and – maybe a bit less iconic but a first for Australian TV, all the same – Family Guy.
*Adds everything to My List*
It also means we’ll see twice as much of Alyson Hannigan on our screens – she starred in two of the shows, after all, playing best-friend-to-the-slayer Willow in Buffy, and later Lily in HIMYM.
The star also told WHO she would be keen to do a reboot… of either series!
“How I Met Your Mother would be the ideal one because it was just a fun experience and the group just, it was just fantastic, so that would be the ideal job to come back,” she revealed.
“Buffy, I don’t hold up hope because so many other cast members said they wouldn’t do it or Joss Whedon, and obviously nobody would want to do it without Joss, so that is not going to happen, but never say never!”
