Carrie Bickmore has opened up about her struggle to maintain a work-life balance.
The Project co-host revealed she is often struck down by a pain in the pit of her stomach whilst at work, as she wants to be at home with her young daughter Evie.
“I’m very, very – more than I ever have been – aware of my time with my family, and I realise for my own mental health I have to have it or my life is out of whack.” she told co-host Waleed Aly in an interview for The Daily Telegraph.
The 36-year-old also revealed she often wonders what other mothers fear.
“This is going to sound really creepy, but I’ll often be driving to work and I’ll look at a mum next to me in her car with an empty baby seat or an empty car seat in the back and I’ll look at her and I’ll be like, ‘I wonder if she’s got the same pain in the pit of her stomach that I have right now?'”.
Bickmore has two children, Evie, 2, and Oliver, 9.
