It was the scathing interview from Karl Stefanovic’s ex-wife, Cassandra Thorburn, that she insists never happened. And now you can hear it for yourself, after the audio was uploaded to YouTube.

Getting stuck into her ex about his wedding, his career and his purported self-regard, the comments, originally published in New Idea magazine, really set the cat among the pigeons.
Then Cass denied any interview had taken place. But now paparazzo and journalist Jonathan Marshall’s purported chat with the former Dancing With The Stars has been released online.

Highlights of the chat include claims that their children did not attend Karl’s wedding to fashion designer Jasmine Yarbrough in Mexico, and a series of very unflattering allegations about her ex.
‘They did not attend (the wedding),’ the woman on the tapes is heard saying.
On Karl, she says: ‘everything he says is about this fake person who lives in this fake castle.

‘After we separated he sat me down and said, it is very hard being the best journalist in Australia, quite possibly the world’.
Cass categorically stated on Studio 10 that there ‘was no interview.’ Whether she claims that the tape is not genuine, or feels it constitutes a conversation and not a formal interview, is unknown.
But Marshall told Sydney Confidential he is glad the tape is out.
‘For four months Cass has been telling anyone who would listen that she never spoke to me. Now, the audio is laid bare for those who took her seriously to reflect on.’
