We hate to break it to you Benson fans, but TikTok’s new fave singer is currently in a relationship with fellow TikTok sensation Maggie Thurmon.

Did Benson Boone win American Idol?
While he’s undoubtedly making waves in the music industry in 2025, Benson did not win during his time on American Idol.
He did appear on the show in 2021 and made it all the way through to the Top 24, with judge Katy Perry even going as far as to say he could take home the win.
Despite the high praise, Benson opted to leave the competition voluntarily – sharing at the time that he didn’t want the foundation of his status in the music career to stem from being a product of American Idol.
