Carrie Bickmore, 40, has given fans a look into her life when she was a young Adelaide girl experimenting with halter necks in the late nineties.
The Project host’s wholesome post shared to her Instagram Stories was dedicated to her friend Kate for her birthday.
In the photo, Carrie and Kate wear pink patterned halter neck dresses and look youthful as they pose for the camera holding hands.
“1999. Happy Birthday to my partner in crime for 20 years,” Carrie captioned the photo.
This isn’t the first time Carrie has posted throwback pictures – the TV and radio personality previously shared some epic photos from her high school formal.
Carrie explained on The Project that her mother had provided the presenter with the pictures.
“She brought my prom photos, my ball photos, and they are just quite shocking,” Carrie admitted.
“But they reminded me I remember going to this prom with this guy, and I so thought I was gonna score. I thought I was getting a pash by the end of that.”
The TV presenter’s date later remarked, “I think my grandma’s couch is made out of the material.”
Today, Carrie is known for her gorgeously well-kept blonde hair, flawless makeup and, well, basically always looking put together.
But she is still rocking those halter necks, just albeit a more classy and fashionable 2021 version of the trend.
Besides throwback pictures, Carrie also keeps it real on social media by posting behind the scene photos of her looking less glammed up and more relatable.
In one recent Instagram post, she shared a snap of herself in a dressing gown on the morning school run and humbly captioned it, “Early morning sport drop off done right #dressinggown just like my mum used to do in the 90’s.”
