Since first crossing paths in 2013, George Clooney and Amal Clooney have become one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples.
Since tying the knot in 2014, the A-list actor and barrister’s romance has continued to blossom throughout the years, with the couple soon becoming a regular feature at some of Hollywood’s most glamorous events.
Speaking on their romance, George told GQ, “I didn’t know how un-full [my life] was until I met Amal, and then everything changed. I was like, ‘Oh, actually, this has been a huge empty space.'”

After three years of marriage, George and Amal welcomed even more love into their family as they celebrated the arrival of their two children in June 2017.
Reflecting on his early experience as a first-time father, George previously told People, “In marriage, and now with the kids, you give away the selfishness of only looking out for yourself. It’s a wonderful thing. Amal and I talk about it every day. We feel so lucky.”

Does George Clooney have children?
George and Amal Clooney share two children, twins Alexander and Ella.
The couple welcomed the arrival of their son and daughter on June 6, 2017, at St Mary’s Hospital in London.
Speaking on his experience of fatherhood in December 2023, George told Good Morning America, “When you have twins and you’re raising [them] the same time, the same way, and they’re completely different human beings, you realise how little say you have in who they are.”
Unlike many other A-list couples, George and Amal deliberately opted for more traditional names for their two children.
“I didn’t want weird-ass names for our kids. They’re already going to have enough trouble. It’s hard being the son of somebody famous and successful,” George previously told AARP.

While they may be best known for their occupations, the couple revealed that their two children have yet to grapple with the concept of their parents being famous.
“They did say to me one day when they came home from school, ‘What’s famous?’ which we didn’t want to explain,” George told E! News in September 2024.
“They know what a lawyer is,” he continued, with Amal adding, “When they play games, when someone goes to prison they’re like, ‘It’s okay, Mama can get them out.’ I think that’s what they’ve reached.”
Having played one of DC Comics’ most iconic characters, George quipped about his son’s nonchalant reaction to his portrayal of Batman. sharing, “My son dressed up as Batman not long ago and he said, ‘I’m Batman.’ I told him I was Batman. He goes, ‘Not really,’ and I was like, ‘You have no idea how accurate you are.'”

Although the couple may have residences across the U.S., Mexico, and Europe, George and Amal have raised their two children predominately in Laglio, Italy.
Growing up in the surrounds of Lake Como, George revealed on The Late Show with Jimmy Kimmel that his twins have quickly taken to life in Italy, joking, “We did a really dumb thing, which is they speak fluent Italian. I don’t speak Italian, my wife doesn’t speak Italian, so we’ve armed them with a new language.”
Sharing a glimpse into their family life, the couple told E! News, “We’re actually together so much it’s crazy. We both work from home as much as possible and we try not to spend too much time apart when we’re travelling, so we basically follow each other around the globe. We’re lucky.”
While the couple may be keeping their children out of the public eye, both George and Amal have not shied away from sharing the adorable details of life with Alexander and Ella.
Celebrating their developing personalities, George joked that his two children have taken on his sense of humour, telling Entertainment Tonight, “My daughter has now picked up the mantle [of practical jokes]. She used to think it was really gross, all the things we did, but then she saw how many laughs Alexander got and now she’s taken it up too.”
“They both have learned to play pranks… I did work with them on putting Nutella in a diaper and then eating it [prank]. Whenever a stranger is around, they’ll come in holding it, like, ‘Papa, it’s a dirty nappy!’… and then they eat the Nutella out of the nappy,” George previously told People.
