In a year that seemed to be filled with unexpected celebrity romances, we definitely did not expect Joseph Quinn and Doja Cat to become our Hollywood romance obsession for 2024.
Thanks to the work of real-life Gossip Girl Deux Moi, fans uncovered the news of the internet’s new fave couple in August of that year through an anonymous eye-witness video that showed the Stranger Things star walking with his arm around the singer while holding hands behind one another’s back.
While some fans initially took the news with a grain of salt, the gossip site later shared another snap of the new couple packing on the PDA while at a concert in Camden, North London, and with both their faces clearly in the frame, fans were quick to take the update as confirmation they were actually an item.
Are Joseph Quinn and Doja Cat still together?
Despite seemingly disappearing off the face of the Earth, it appears that Joseph and Doja’s romance is still going strong.
While they have yet to speak publicly about their relationship, pictures shared by Deux Moi gave fans the confirmation they had been waiting for, with the snaps showing Joseph and Doja indulging in some low-key PDA while checking in at the airport in Mexico on February 17, 2025.
Prior to their most recent sighting, the celebrity gossip site previously speculated whether their romance had “fizzled out” after a few months. Thanks to their seemingly infinite loop of celebrity insiders, Deux Moi shared in December 2024 that the couple had been spotted attending a screening of The Brutalist in London alongside Paul Mescal.

Who doesn’t love a celebrity engagement rumour? Despite having only been publicly linked for less than a month at the time, Doja’s performance at the 2024 iHeart Radio Music Festival almost broke Twitter after the singer was spotted enthusiastically flashing a ring on *that* finger.
While some were quick to point out that the ring flash coincided with the lyrics “Rub it in their face, put a rock on her hand,” during her performance of Angora Hills, other fans were convinced that the move was 100% an engagement announcement.
Fortunately for those on the hunt for answers, the singer weighed in on the viral moment in a now-deleted tweet, writing, “No, I’m not engaged it’s a David Yurman ring with no rocks in it.” Case closed!
Did Doja Cat have a crush on Joseph Quinn?
While news of their new romance may come as a surprise to some fans, Doja Cat previously went viral for sharing her feelings towards the actor.
In a now-deleted TikTok from July 2022, Joseph’s Stranger Things co-star Noah Schnapp shared a series of screenshots to the platform revealing his Instagram DMs from Doja, with the messages reading, “Noah, can you tell Joseph to hmu?”
Despite some fans taking the video as lighthearted, Doja later clapped back at Noah on TikTok live, saying, “Noah is a kid… When you’re that young, you make mistakes… The fact Noah did that, like went and posted a private conversation between me and him is so unbelievably socially unaware and whack, That’s like borderline snake s***.”
Although the TikTok fiasco may have brought her interest in Joseph into the spotlight, the singer previously sprinkled her affections towards the actor on Twitter following the release of Stranger Things Season 4, tweeting, “Joseph Quinn fine as s***.”
