All about KJ Apa’s alter ego Mr. Fantasy

Are you just as confused as we are...?

Chances are, you’ve spotted the name Mr. Fantasy floating around your socials, and if not, trust us, this is one you’ll want to dive into.

All signs point to Mr. Fantasy actually being KJ Apa, a former Riverdale star who is really confusing us with his apparent alter ego.

Whilst the 28-year-old is yet to confirm (which honestly makes this whole thing a hell of a lot weirder), the clues are piling up.

Scroll on as we unpack this whole Mr. Fantasy thing. Is it a mental breakdown or just some very clever self-promo…

Is KJ Apa actually Mr. Fantasy?

All signs point to yes. Fans have pieced together clues from his social media activity, references in his music and similarities in style and aesthetic that match KJ Apa’s known work.

It’s also pretty clear that the pair look identical, unless KJ Apa actually has some doppelgänger that’s milking in all of this, but again, highly unlikely.

The most obvious giveaway is the identical tattoo on his left shoulder, which can be seen in most of Mr. Fantasy’s social videos.

Of course, Mr. Fantasy has a gap-toothed smile, different from KJ Apa, but fans are convinced it’s a set of fake teeth.

While neither KJ nor Mr. Fantasy has confirmed it outright, the evidence is piling up, and honestly, it makes the whole thing even more exciting (and bizarre) for fans.

Why is KJ Apa pretending to be Mr. Fantasy?

If this is, in fact, KJ Appa, we have to wonder why a Hollywood actor is moonlighting as an internet musician in a wig.

Is it all for publicity after A Map That Leads to You? Or is this just his way of exploring a new creative side?

Whatever it is, it’s a little strange but it’s certainly got the internet talking.

One theory suggests Mr. Fantasy could be a project in disguise, either a way to get into character or a cheeky PR stunt.

Maybe he took inspiration from Margaret Qualley, who made an Instagram profile for Lace Manhattan, her pop-star character in Honey Don’t.

Another theory? He’s just exercising his free will in a very different way.
