It looks like Liz Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus are Hollywood’s newest couple, and it’s safe to say we did not see that one coming.
The pair made their relationship debut with an Easter-themed hard launch on Instagram, which showed them enjoying a kiss.
The 59-year-old British actress shared the photo alongside the caption “Happy Easter ♥️”
Although the post surprised fans, many of whom rushed to the comment section to speculate, Liz’s son Damian was quick to show his approval, replying with a love heart and celebration face emoji.
“Wait… what?” actress Melissa Gilbert commented. “Oh, who else totally did not have this one on their 2025 bingo card?” added one fan.
Liz’s last public relationship was with the late cricketer Shane Warne, which ended in 2015. She previously dated Hugh Grant in the nineties, and welcomed her son Damian in 2002 with Steve Bing.
She was married to Indian textile heir Arun Nayar in 2007, before they divorced in 2010.
Eagle-eyed fans also spotted an Instagram post Liz posted earlier in the month, which featured the 59-year-old dancing in a bikini as Billy’s 1990s hit “She’s Not Cryin’ Anymore” played in the background.
Now, Billy Ray Cyrus has spoken out about their blossoming relationship, revealing how they went from costars to lovers.
According to the country music star, the couple first met while filming the 2022 holiday movie together, Christmas in Paradise. The on-set friendship came as he separated from his ex-wife, Tish Cyrus.
“We did very few scenes together but the couple times we were in the same scene there was a chemistry there,” he recounted in an upcoming episode of Apple Music Country’s The Ty Bentli Show. “We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn’t laughing a lot.”
“The oddest part was first, how much we laughed,” he continued. “Second, I figured we were so different but in some very strange way we had way more in common than we had different.”
However, the pair lost touch after filming ended and “didn’t speak for two years,” Billy Ray shared. He went on to marry Australian singer Firerose in 2023, before they split the following year.
According to Billy Ray, he went on to enter a difficult chapter of his life and was surprised to receive a text from an unknown number.
“‘Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I’m in your corner; you’ve got a friend in your corner,'” he recalled the message reading. “So, I text back, I go, ‘Who is this?’ And it’s like, ‘Elizabeth Hurley.'”
“She’s so impressively brilliant,” he said of Elizabeth. “She reminds me a lot of Dolly Parton. She’s a very smart businesswoman.”
Adding that he had “no expectations of where we go from here,” he described their new bond as “beautiful.”
“If you can laugh together, you can make it through everything,” he added during the podcast. “It’s been a long time since I’ve been this happy.”
