‘I don’t even know where to begin.’ Dom Calarco and Ella Ding reveal fate of friendship

Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding may have had the strongest Married At First Sight friendship of all time, but after announcing the cancellation of their Sit with Us podcast, the pair have revealed that they are no longer on speaking terms.

In early September 2024, So Dramatic spotted that the former co-hosts had unfollowed one another on Instagram and as fans began to speculate about a potential rift between the beloved besties, Dom and Ella confirmed to Daily Mail that they are no longer friends.

“We’ve definitely unfollowed each other. I don’t even know where to begin,” shared Dom, with Ella telling the publication, “I’ve got nothing to say, but I wish her the best, of course, always will. All good things come to an end.”

News of the MAFS besties’ friendship breakup comes just over two weeks after the former reality stars announced their popular podcast would be coming to an end, with Domenica telling their Facebook group a joint decision had been made on the future of the program.

“The decision was not made lightly, and it comes with a mix of emotions,” she explained in the lengthy statement. “We believe it is the best step forward for both of us.”

“We think it is the right time now to move on with our own solo projects and explore new opportunities that lie ahead.”

Although Dom didn’t give a specific reason as to why the podcast was ending after two years, fans speculated it had to do with the recent backlash they had received from listeners after they interviewed 2024 MAFS Villain Jack Dunkley in their podcast in May.

Days after Dom made the surprising announcement, Ella released a statement of her own telling listeners it “isn’t a goodbye.”

“We both have worked so hard for these amazing couple [of] years & we honestly couldn’t of done it without all of you,” she explained.

“This isn’t goodbye everyone. Keep Running! keep dreaming! And continue to be the person you want to be.”

Following Ella’s Facebook statement, the former MAFS star also took to Instagram stories to address the initial rumours surrounding a potential rift with Dom, writing, “There is no issue with Dom and I. There are no problems, It is just a chapter closing, and that is okay!”

“We want YOU to come sit with us, chat, chill and listen with us! We’ll be discussing all things relationships, reality TV, pop culture & everything in between.
