When it came time for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to reveal they were expecting their second child, the couple chose their friend and Vogue photographer Misan Harriman to shoot their announcement.
The intimate photo that was shot on an iPad sweetly shows the couple in a blissful moment with Meghan lying on Harry with his hand cupping her head, as she holds her belly.
To add to the excitement, the photographer has generously gifted fans of the couple with some inside insight into the photo’s history and how loving the couple are towards one another.
Misan shared with Vogue magazine the romantic details about how the photo came into existence.
He said, “With the tree of life behind them and the garden representing fertility, life and moving forward, they didn’t need any direction, because they are, and always have been, waltzing through life together as absolute soulmates.”
If those words were not kind enough, the photographer made a gushing post on his socials to commemorate the occasion and extend his congratulations to the couple.
Misan posted the picture with a caption that reads, “Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow. Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and this Joyous news!”
In the picture, a gorgeous Meghan can be seen wearing a whimsical custom-designed Carolina Herrera frock for the photo.
The item is significant because it was a gift from the Venezuelan American label during her first pregnancy with baby Archie.
It is clear the couple enjoy collaborating with those from their inner circle and are very protective of who gets to have influence in their lives.
So much so, Meghan and Harry delighted royal fans this week with the news of their second pregnancy via their personal representatives and a spokesperson who confirmed the news with People magazine.
“We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child,” a spokesperson for the couple told the publication.
Meghan gave birth to Archie on May 6, 2019 and in November last year she wrote a poignant essay for the New York Times revealing she had endured a devastating miscarriage.
