From her captivating romance with current boyfriend Maxx Morando to her well-publicized marriage and subsequent split from actor Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus’s dating history and high-profile relationships have kept fans and media intrigued.
Although the couple normally keep their relationship largely out of the private eye, Miley, 32, dished on her relationship with Maxx, 26, in a new interview with Harpers Bazaar.
“He looks at life really differently than I do,” she told the publication of her Gen-z partner. “He grew up with a laptop. I had a desktop computer that I shared with my brothers and sisters…”
“He’s very similar to me. We just don’t take life too seriously,” she added, before explaining that she and Maxx were collaborating on new music together.
“I worked with my dad forever. That’s how me and my ex-husband met each other. I’ve always worked with the people that I love. And Maxx just inspires me so much.”
Despite the couple dating for over three years, fans don’t know too much about Maxx, but their romance is showing no signs of slowing down.
“Miley and Maxx are still going strong and their relationship is very serious,” a source close to Miley told E! News in October 2022. “They have been together for about a year now and Miley is really happy. Everyone in her family loves them together and thinks they mesh really well.”
Is Miley Cyrus in a relationship?
Yes! Even though the couple keeps their relationship notoriously private, Miley and Maxx have been dating since 2021.
A source told E! News that the couple met through mutual friends, explaining, “they are both artistic and creative, so they bond over being musicians.”
“We got put on a blind date,” Miley told British Vogue in an interview published in May 2023. “Well, it was blind for me and not really for him,” she clarified.
Who is Maxx Morando
Maxx is currently a drummer for the four-person Los Angeles rock band Lilly. He also played the drums for the punk rock band The Regrettes from 2015 to 2018.
But he’s not just a drummer, he can also play the guitar and has dabbled in designing clothes.
During an interview with Vogue in September 2022, Miley revealed that Maxx helped create one of her looks alongside designer Shane Kastl.
“This look is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between two of my favourite emerging artists, Maxx Morando and Shane Kastl,” she told the publication.
“Their collaboration is the perfect example of sustainability becoming the next fashion phase, and it proves that anything can be reinvented, which resonates with me deeply.”

Before her relationship with Maxx, Miley has been in a number of public relationships.
She was in a long-term relationship with Aussie Hearthrob, Liam Hemsworth after the pair met on the set of The Last Song in 2010. They were married in 2018 before announcing their split the following year.
After a whirlwind rebound romance with Kaitlynn Carter, Miley was then in a relationship with another Aussie heartthrob Cody Simpson, before the couple called it quits in August 2020.
