Just over one year since announcing their engagement, Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi have celebrated their wedding day in a second lavish ceremony in Tuscany.
Announcing the news of their nuptials on Instagram, the actress shared a series of photos with her husband alongside the caption, “forever and always, your wife.”
Joined by family and friends in the Italian countryside, the couple’s wedding was officiated by Matthew Modine, who portrays the role of Brown’s ‘Papa’ on-screen in Stranger Things.
“Amazing. Who’s the old guy with a beard??” Modine quipped in the comments, with fellow celebs, friends, and fans also adding their congratulations.
“Holy cow what an incredible weekend. You guys were perfect,” wrote actor Drew Powell.
“The most perfect couple,” added Brown’s close friend Gia LoRusso.
While the photos may have been the first glimpses of the pair husband and wife, it was not the first time Brown and Bongiovi have tied the knot, with The Sun previously reporting that the couple signed their marriage certificate in an intimate ceremony in May 2024.
According to the publication, the 20-year-old star celebrated her nuptials alongside her family and her husband’s family, musician Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Bon Giovi, in a “very low-key, romantic affair.”
While neither Brown nor Bongiovi have spoken publicly about their first ceremony, Bon Jovi confirmed the news of his son’s first wedding to the BBC, sharing, “It was a very small family wedding and the bride looked gorgeous and Jake is happy as can be. It’s true.”
Despite the news of their wedding day dominating social media, Millie revealed to Women’s Wear Daily that both she and Jake intend to keep specifics of their ceremony largely under wraps.
“There are only so many moments in life that you only get once and to have everyone’s options and eyes looking at that just feels unnatural to me,” she shared, continuing, “I feel it’s important to keep those things, those small precious moments in life, really close to your chest. I can say that planning is going. It’s so fun and it’s such an exciting time in my life.”
News of the couple’s second wedding day comes just over one year since the pair announced their engagement, with Brown sharing a snap of her proposal alongside the caption, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”
Reminiscing on the couple’s proposal, Brown shared, “Jake and I bonded over [scuba] diving… We go under[water] and we’re many metres down. He gives me a shell, and I turn it over and it’s a ring.”
Following her proposal, the actress also shared the heartwarming story behind her engagement ring, telling The Sunday Times, “I’ve always loved [my mother’s] ring. It always stuck out to me, so she gave it to Jake. They were in cahoots about the whole proposal.”
