Australian families grew up with Shelley Craft on our TVs, from Australia’s Funniest Home Videos, The Block and Perfect Match.
After getting us through the week and making us laugh on the weekends, what does her love life look like off our screens? Well, buckle up as it’s a story of highs and lows, but ultimately proves that true love wins at the end.
Let us take you back to the time of 1993 when she first met her first husband at the age of 17. Where did she meet her childhood sweetheart, Brett De Billinghurst? Movie World, of course! The pair were together for eight years before they married in 2001.
Even though it sadly ended in 2007, she looks on it with bliss and how supportive he was, stating to The Australian Women’s Weekly:
”There is a point in a marriage where you’re either going to get through it or you’re not, but if it’s a good marriage I don’t think that line ever comes up – and if it’s not right, you probably innately know that.”

But don’t lose hope yet folks as she then met her knight in shining armour, or should I say light in shining camera man! And turns out, he was under her nose the entire time.
Christian Sergiacomi and Shelley both started out at Channel Seven in Brisbane, originally meeting each other in 1994. Fate connected them again in 2007 when they started filming The Great Outdoors. Luckily, they got the picture and became friends which bloomed into marriage in 2009.
A year after they got married, the two were blessed with beautiful baby girls: Milla Grace in 2010 and Eadie Rose in 2012. When asked about what Christian’s parenting skills are like, she responded to Women’s Health about how it’s like a partnership.
”That’s how I’d describe our relationship – a wonderful partnership. He’s a wonderful partner and a great dad. I respect how he parents, and he shows me the same respect and doesn’t judge me. We make decisions together and we have the same outlook on life.”
Today, Shelley Craft is 48 years old now and happily blessed with her husband and two tween/teenage girls. What is Shelley doing now? Well, upon being inspired by The Block with Scott Cam, she has become a real-life real estate agent! What can’t she do?
”Real estate has always been my hobby. And you know what they say, turn your hobby into something you can make a career out of,” Craft told the Lauren Keenan interior design podcast.
