After a devastating 2016, Celine Dion has reportedly listed her private mansion in the exclusive Villa Montmorency neighbourhood of Paris. It’s a heartbreaking step for the star, who is saying goodbye forever to a deeply cherished chapter of her life with late husband Rene.
The potential sale comes just under a year after the tragic loss of her husband, who lost his battle with throat cancer in January last year. The home is believed to hold very special memories for the star, and the sale is said to be coming at a considerable emotional cost, as she struggles to move forward following her tragedy.
Celine’s home is reportedly worth $9.3 million and boasts four stories, along with five bedrooms, five bathrooms and a large living room which features a fireplace and mezzanine along with a bookcase. The basement will also be a huge selling point for the star as it includes a wine cellar, a plush home theatre, spa, garage and fitness room.
The estate s located in the Villa Montmorency, which is a prestigious neighbourhood in the 16th district. It is also gated and guarded 24 hours a day.
According to French media reports Celine and Rene bought their Paris retreat in 2008.
