Pete Evans has opened up about his lifelong condition.
Promos leading up to the March 26 episode of Channel 7’s Sunday Night teased the successful chef and My Kitchen Rules star’s “crippling” condition, which was revealed as shyness.
“I suffered from crippling shyness at school, that’s for sure. It’s sort of been with me all of my life. Even now, I like to keep a pretty low profile, believe it or not,” he revealed.
“And I really just try to be around my family, for my family unit, my kids, my wife, our animals and live a pretty quiet life.”
“It’s something that’s been with me my whole life,” Evans admitted.
The star lives with his wife Nicola Robinson, who he married last year, and his two daughters Chilli, 12, and Indii, 10, from his first marriage.
The chef also addressed his relationship with fellow MKR judge Manu Fieldel, who he calls one of his “best mates”.
