Chrissie Swan is just one of the high-profile Aussie celebs trying her hand at cooking on Celebrity Masterchef.

The radio host and television presenter will join the likes of Rebecca Gibney and Matt Le Nevez when the show kicks off later this month, attempting to prove her cooking skills in the Masterchef kitchen.

Chrissie, who is a mum of three, has undoubtedly prepared a lot of dinners in her time. However, details on her family life remain scarce, with Chrissie rarely sharing details about her kids or posting photos of them to socials.

Here’s what we know about Chrissie’s family life.

Chrissie Swan and Chris Saville have been together for around eleven years now, having met some time in 2009.

She admitted that they’d been together for seven years while doing press for her 2015 stint on I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!

They weren’t married while Chrissie was on the show, but she did reveal at the time that pressure to tie the knot had been mounting.

Her and Chris’s son, Leo, was keen for them to finally wed.

“You’d think it would be our parents pressuring us, but it’s him” Chrissie told The Daily Mail in 2016.

She admitted in the same interview that she had fallen pregnant within a year of meeting Chris, and the pair put it off due to career and family commitments.

“After that, my career just went boom!” she explained.

“And then we had a baby, and then we had another baby … We just never got around to it.”

She also said that their wedding day would still be some time away, as the pair had decided to wait until their children were older and could enjoy it more – even if it was just a low-key ceremony, which she admitted she would prefer.

Leo, their eldest, is now 12, and they also share Kit, who is nine, and Peggy, who is eight.

While older photos can be found of Chris on Chrissie’s Instagram, she very, very rarely posts anything of her children, and their faces are missing from her grid entirely.

She seems to post more often about her work husbands, Sam Pang and Jonathan Brown, who co-host a radio program with her in Melbourne.

In 2020, Chrissie took to posting her completed ‘to-do’ lists, which often involved her family, and mentioned things like ‘provided for family’, ‘chatted aimlessly with daughter’, and ‘laughed with Chippie’, which is her on-air nickname for Chris.

She also recently shared a sweet text exchange with her daughter, Peggy, where she spelled the word ‘coincidence’ as ‘cuwinsodons’.

“My daughter can now text me from her iPad and this one just came in as I pulled into the driveway,” she penned

“I’ll be sad when she can spell everything correctly! Cuwinsodons = coincidence ❤️❤️❤️,” she wrote in explanation.

While her radio gig sees her working mornings, Chrissie then seems to step into regular mum-mode once home.

“I try to get my mental health walk in before I get home, because once I get home, I’m mum, teacher, cook, and cleaner,” she revealed to Mamamia in a recent chat about her life in lockdown.

“When we first hit lockdown last year it was an absoslute nightmare – we couldn’t work out any [school] logins and there were [internet] dropouts … but now it’s the fifth time, it’s easier,” she explained.

While Chris is often referred to in the media as Chrissie’s husband, there’s been no confirmation of their marital status.

However, raising three kids, homeschooling them during lockdown, and cooking them meals every day is about as domestic and official as it gets!

We look forward to witnessing Chrissie’s cooking skills on Celebrity Masterchef.
