Chrissy Teigen took to Twitter on July 13 to defend Jennifer Aniston after a scathing Daily Mail column by Piers Morgan slammed the actress and accused her of perpetrating beauty standards.

Morgan, 51, argued Aniston, 47, shouldn’t be writing about the “absurd and disturbing” objectification of women since she poses for photos that are digitally airbrushed.

“There’s another reason why the media objectify and scrutinize famous women, and why little girls get confused about beauty and body image,” the British reality TV star wrote on July 13. “It’s this: female stars like Jennifer Aniston deliberately perpetuate the myth of ‘perfection’ by posing for endless magazine covers which have been airbrushed so much that in some cases the celebrity is virtually unrecognizable.”

Teigen, 30, reacted strongly to the article and immediately directed a number of tweets to Morgan.

And Morgan responded back to the outspoken Sports Illustrated model.

Not one to shy away from a Twitter debate, the new mother fired back.

Morgan then professed his love for Teigen’s husband John Legend, 37, while taking another stab at the model.

The saga continued to go back and forth on the social media platform, as Morgan wrote that Legend had “problems” since he decided to marry Teigen, before threatening to pen his next article about her next after the model blocked his account.

This is not the first time Teigen and Morgan have been involved in a heated Twitter feud, with the model ousting Morgan over one of his tweets following the June death of Muhammed Ali, which she believed to be racially charged.

It comes after Aniston penned a powerful essay to the Huffington Post titled “For The Record,” in response to media speculation she was pregnant.

“For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up,” the actress wrote, adding women “are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child. We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies.”

Teigen is not the only celebrity to show their support for Aniston, with male and female stars voicing their opinions, including her husband Justin Theroux who called her his “#WomanCrushWednesday.”
