Netflix’s hit show, Clickbait, has a pretty exciting cast, featuring the likes of Entourage’s Adrian Grenier and Get Out‘s Betty Gabriel.
However, there were some familiar faces in the show you might have struggled to place.
There are plenty of Aussies in the cast of Clickbait, and we’re certain you’ll remember them from the likes of Home and Away, The Wrong Girl and Please Like Me.
Check out the stellar cast of Clickbait and where you might have seen them before.
Adrian Grenier
Best known for his roles as Vincent Chase in Entourage and Nate in The Devil Wears Prada, Adrian Grenier seemed to take an acting hiatus for a few years before joining the cast of Clickbait. He is the leading man, although (spoilers!) he is found dead by episode two. Adrian stars as Nick Brewer, who is kidnapped from his family, seemingly tortured and videoed holding that fateful sign – which reads “At five million views, I die.”
Zoe Kazan
All-rounder Zoe Kazan has been in films for years, starring in the likes of Ruby Sparks and The F Word. She’s currently working on an adaptation of She Said, the popular book by Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey about their coverage of Harvey Weinstein’s crimes. Zoe stars as Pia Brewer in Clickbait, Nick’s loyal sister.
Betty Gabriel
Betty Gabriel shot to prominence in her terrifying role as Georgina in the film Get Out. She has since starred in the likes of Westworld, Counterpart and The Twilight Zone before joining the cast of Clickbait, where she plays Sophie Brewer, Nick’s wife.
Phoenix Raei
The first of many Australian actors in Clickbait, Phoenix migrated from Iran to Perth as a child. He stars as Roshan Amiri in the show, a detective who becomes personally invested in Nick’s missing persons/kidnapping case as well as Pia’s wellbeing. He has previously been seen in Stateless and The Heights.
Ian Meadows
Celebrated Aussie actor Ian Meadows also appears in Clickbait as Matt Aldin, one of Nick’s business colleagues who is accused of leaking nude photos of a student online. We’ve seen Ian in a number of Aussie shows: The Wrong Girl, Underbelly, The Moodys, A Moody Christmas, and Rake.
Abraham Lim
Abraham Lim stars as Ben Park, a gossip reporter and career opportunist who discovers a link between Nick and a woman who has taken her own life. Abraham has previously worked on The Boys and The Dead Girls Detective Agency.
Becca Lish
A seemingly innocuous character, those who have finished Clickbait will understand just how big a role Becca’s character, Dawn, has to play. Becca has been seen previously on Law and Order, The Blacklist, and Orange is the New Black.
Jake Speer
Beloved Home and Away alum Jake Speer also made an appearance on Clickbait in episode five, The Reporter. Jake starred in Home and Away from 2013 to 2016 as Oscar MacGuire.
Debra Lawrance
Another Home and Away alum, Debra Lawrence can be caught in Clickbait as Principal Heller in episode seven. Broadly known as Pippa from Home and Away, Debra has quite the impressive acting resume, having also starred in Please Like Me, Wentworth and Neighbours. She recently acted onstage as part of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
