Last week, I promised I’d let you know as soon as Cody Simpson debuted his new haircut, which came as a result of Miley Cyrus’ grande idea to get her hands on a pair of scissors and start chopping away.

And while I’m deeply disappointed to inform you he’s not sporting a matching mullet, I am quite surprised the Slide Away singer didn’t completely mess things up! In fact, it kinda looks like the former Disney star pinned up a photo of Keanu Reeves and copied his ‘do to a T!
Debuting his new style at the Bulgari B.zero1 Rock jewellery bash in Brooklyn last week, The Masked Singer winner told the New York Post that his girlfriend is the first woman he’s ever let touch his hair!
“It was a first for me,” he told the outlet, adding he loves his new look!
The Australian singer-songwriter told his followers he was transforming his look last week in a NSFW photo which later sparked outrage. Taking to Instagram, he shared a black and white snap showing his girlfriend— who sported skimpy lingerie and a pair of thigh-high sheer stockings— holding a pair of scissors while he rested his head on her legs. In the second photo, the “Can’t Be Tamed” pop sensation switched up her pose, this time resting her elbow on his shoulder.
Unsurprisingly, the post was met with a serious amount of backlash, with many of Cody’s followers claiming this isn’t the kind of content they’re after or hoping to see from him, in particular.
“Shouldn’t some things stay private? 🙄,” one user commented. “What are you doing, just STOP. Grow up.”
“Get a room and keep your dirty laundry private,” another added. “I mean why, why would you post this? 🤦🏼♀️”
“This is disturbing. Can never open Insta in front of anyone anymore 😔💀💀.”
Still feeling that last one. AMEN!
To make matters worse, the next day, Miley thought it was an apt opportunity to film herself popping Cody’s monster pimple— a move which left many fans threatening to unfollow her on Instagram.
In the clip, Miley began by warning her 103 million Instagram followers that she was about to “film this nastiness”, with Cody adding that she was overly keen to get her “ratchet” fingernails into his “monster” back zit.
“Don’t be a baby,” Miley said before blood and yellow pus squirted out of his back. She then ran to the bathroom to wash her hands before the video cut out.
