David Letterman's mother, Dorothy Mengering, dies at 95

Dorothy Mengering, mother of late night talk show host and comedian David Letterman, has passed away aged 95.

A representative to Letterman confirmed the news to Entertainment Weekly.

Mengering, known as “Dave’s mum” made multiple appearances on the Late Show With David Letterman, serving as an Olympic correspondent and filming segments from her home.
