Eric Trump may have made a huge mistake when he took to the voting booth today.
In a since deleted tweet, Donald Trump‘s 32-year-old son shared a photo of his ballot, marked for the Republican presidential nominee, which is a violation of New York State law.
“It is an incredible honour to vote for my father! He will do such a great job for the U.S.A.! #MakeAmericaGreatAgain,” Eric wrote on Twitter.
Trump could face a charge for violating the law and a fine of $1,000, PEOPLE reported.
New York law states that, “any person who … makes or keeps any memorandum of anything occurring within the booth, or directly or indirectly, reveals to another the name of any candidate voted for by such voter; or shows his ballot after it is prepared for voting, to any person so as to reveal the contents … is guilty of a misdemeanour.”
Justin Timberlake came under fire for a similar reason two weeks ago, after sharing a selfie of himself voting in Tennessee.
After removing the photo from Instagram, the 35-year-old singer joked about the saga on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
“I recently voted,” Timberlake said. “It was super quiet, under the radar. No one even knew!”You might also like…
