Drake has included artists of varying genres on his Summer Sixteen tour, but on Aug. 14 he had a special guest at his concert in Nashville: country star and fellow Canadian Shania Twain.
The pair caught up backstage for a chat and a sneaky snap, which a smiley Drake posted on his Instagram account with a caption that revealed Twain is his “woman crush Wednesday”: “My WCW even though it’s Monday. Shania.”
Drake, 30, he told the audience, “I grew up a fan.”
According to The Tennessean, Drake honoured the 50-year-old singer-songwriter and announced, “I just want to say that, like, Shania Twain came to my show tonight, you know what I’m saying Nashville? So this next set, right here, I’m doing this for Shania. This is my love set for Shania, right here.”
