Drake and Rihanna defined #couplegoals on Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards, and now a source tells WHO exclusively the low-key couple is stronger than ever.
“They’ve had their ups and downs, but Drake has always been Rihanna’s biggest supporter,” says the insider.
While presenting the Video Vanguard Award to Rihanna at the annual awards show, Drake sweetly revealed “she’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old” before embracing her and giving her a brief kiss.
And while the source adds Rihanna, 28, isn’t “Drake’s usual type,” the rapper, 29, seems “very smitten” with the singer.
“They’ve been secretly dating for a while now and are very happy together,” says the source. “Rihanna is the most beautiful girl Drake’s ever been with, and he treats her like a princess.”
The duo stepped out for a dinner date Monday night at Nobu in New York City after celebrating her big night after the show at hot spot Up & Down.
“He was literally shadowing her every movement and was just so affectionate and adoring the entire night,” said a party source.
