Her ‘Green Elixir’ business may be booming globally, but Elle Macpherson starts the new year without the close friendship of her Perth business partner, Andrea Horwood.

Just before Christmas, Horwood filed a lawsuit in the WA Supreme Court against Macpherson and fellow WelleCo investor, Rod Jones.
In her affidavit, Horwood stated Macpherson and Jones had terminated her position as WelleCo’s chief executive. She also alleged they’d backtracked on a verbal agreement to let Horwood buy more company shares.
“It deeply saddens me that I am obliged to take steps against the company I have founded and have grown into a successful global digital and online business,” said Horwood in a press statement, adding she’d regarded Macpherson “as a close friend”.
The news of their rift came as a surprise to many. “Whenever Elle came to town, she’d stay at Andrea’s beautiful Peppermint Grove home and even walk her kids to school,” a Perth friend tells WHO. “They really enjoyed each other’s company. When both women split with their husbands around the same time, they had even more in common.”
