From breakthrough nominations to hilarious on-stage antics, the Golden Globe Awards have become one of the most highly anticipated prize-giving ceremonies in the Hollywood award season calendar. 

While the ceremony has delivered its fair share of memorable and moving speeches, the Golden Globes has also delivered many stand-out style moments, with Emma Stone’s red carpet fashion being an annual highlight.

Despite being nominated for her performance in the 2022 Disney spin-off Cruella, Emma has not graced the Golden Globes red carpet with her presence since 2019. 

If her recent red carpet style is anything to go by, we can’t wait to see what look Emma will rock for the 2024 Golden Globes. 

As we count down the days to one of Hollywood’s biggest nights, we look back at Emma Stone’s Golden Globes red carpet style. 

Emma Stone’s Best Golden Globes Red Carpet Moments

Nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture and Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Emma graced the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet in a custom-made Louis Vuitton take on the naked dress. 

Covered in shimmering champagne sequins, Emma’s plunging gown was accented by a combination of blue, purple, and pink floral appliques and a flowing train for an ethereal elegance.

Nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for The Favourite, Emma Stone attended the 2019 Golden Globes red carpet in a blush long-sleeve Louis Vuitton gown with silver scalloped embroidery. 

Emma paired the look with natural glam makeup and soft waves for a subtle nod to old Hollywood glamour.

In solidarity with the Time’s Up movement, Emma Stone and many other high-profile stars donned black ensembles for the 2018 Golden Globes red carpet. 

Nominated for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her portrayal of Billie Jean King in Battle of the Sexes, both Emma and Billie Jean walked the red carpet to draw much-needed awareness to the movement. 

“Every generation has to fight for equality and it’s now Emma’s turn with her generation,” Billie Jean told People, with Emma adding, “Billie Jean has been using tennis as a platform since the very beginning.”

When Emma and Ryan Gosling sang City of Stars, they definitely must have had Emma’s red carpet gown in mind. 

Taking to the red carpet in a star-covered Valentino gown, Emma Stone received her the Golden Globes win for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her stand-out performance in La La Land.

Throughout 2015, Alejandro González Iñárritu’s experimental film Birdman dominated Hollywood’s award show season. 

Attending the ceremony for her Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture nomination for Birdman, Emma stepped out on the 2015 Golden Globes red carpet in a Lanvin jumpsuit with encrusted bodice and large bow detailing.

For her second Golden Globes, Emma’s style made a rapid transformation, with the star trading vibrant, figure-hugging gowns for this deep plum Lanvin a-line dress. 

Complete with a crystal eagle belt from Cartier, Emma’s 2012 look was the first of many cascading tule ensembles.
