Footy Show host Erin Molan has rubbished claims that she was ever romantically involved with Anthony Bell.
In a statement from the Nine Network, Molan explained that her relationship with the 45-year-old accountant to the stars was strictly professional.
“What is happening between Anthony Bell and Kelly Landry in court is incredibly sad, both for them and their young children,” the statement read.
“However we are very disappointed that Erin’s name has been unfairly dragged into the family dispute. It has absolutely nothing to do with her.”
“Erin has never had any intimate relationship with Anthony Bell,” the statement continued.
“Allegations to the contrary are false, offensive and defamatory.
This comes after the former model and Getaway star Kelly Landry told a court that she suspected “something was going on” between Molan and her yachtsman husband whilst they were still together.
The court heard that after last year’s Sydney to Hobart yacht race, the TV presenter sent him a text message that read: “I know about Erin,” followed by, “I just saw her run to you.”
In the lengthy cross-examination, the 37-year-old then suggested the pair had an “odd” relationship.
When approached outside her home, Molan – who recently announced her engagement to her policeman partner Sean Ogilvy – broke down in tears over the explosive allegations made by Landry, telling The Daily Telegraph it was “so unfair.”
“I haven’t done anything,” the 34-year-old said.
Police took out an AVO on behalf of Landry in January 2017, following alleged physical and verbal abuse she had suffered at Bell’s hands.
She has also since accused him of being financially “mean” to her, despite their lavish lifestyle.
