When wholesome dating show Farmer Wants A Wife returned to our screens we didn’t expect the same level of drama we’d see on Bachelor In Paradise or Married At First Sight.
And while it may not match a wine-throwing dinner party, last night’s shock walkout by Madison Mackenzie was more scandal than we ever imagined we see on the farm.

The 24-year-old was Farmer Harry’s first pick to join him on the farm, but after becoming “overwhelmed”, Madison chose to leave the show – only to return shortly after.
Appearing on Channel Seven’s The Morning Show, Madie revealed exactly what pushed her to pack her bags.
“All of these different emotions hit you at once,” she explained.
“I think you sign up to the show knowing what to expect that you have never been in that situation. You have to do what is best for you.”
After making one of the show’s most unexpected and dramatic exits, Madison quickly realised she’d made a mistake.
“Taking myself out of that situation helped clear my head and go ‘This is what I want and this is what I’ve got to focus on.”
“As soon as I got out of the driveway, I was… shaking my head thinking ‘What an idiot, what are you doing?’”
Madison’s return, however, wasn’t exactly welcomed.
When Harry arrived at the dinner party with all the fellow farmers and their ladies, Madison soon followed. And it caused controversy.
Both Stacey and Ashleigh, who are also vying for the young farmer’s attention furiously stormed out of the dinner party.
“I obviously wasn’t prepared for that kind of thing, that’s never happened on Farmer,” Ashleigh told Perth Now.
Also chatting to Farmer Harry, he explained his reasoning behind Madie’s return.
“(I thought) let’s just keep moving on, I’ve got three amazing girls, then you walk into Innisfail and there she is again, and I had to be a bit selfish.”
“I just felt we needed more time together.”
