You season two officially returns to Netflix on December 26, Boxing Day.

Clearly, execs at the streaming service knew that day is dedicated to some serious solitary confinement after spending far too much time with extended family.
And what better thing to indulge in than a stalker serial killer? It’s perfect.
While there has yet to be an official trailer drop for season two, aside from the small teaser Netflix dropped for the release date, they’ve finally given us an inside look at what we can expect: more creepiness.
Our first look shows Joe (Penn Badgley) lurking behind a gorgeous woman who is undoubtedly his next victim. While Beck (Elizabeth Lail) is presumed dead, his new love-interest, ironically named Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), is unfortunately in his line of sight.
Season two follow’s author Caroline Kepnes’ novels, ‘You’ and ‘Hidden Bodies’, as Joe relocates to Los Angeles after Joe’s spiral in New York.
“It’s not that simple love-at-first-sight he might’ve been looking for a couple of years ago,” showrunner Sara Gamble said about his run in with Love. “He’s a different guy. He’s been through more.”
Love supposedly can see Joe’s loss and “kindred spirit.”
“The circumstances of his encounter with Love are very informed by what he went through with Beck.”
But Love isn’t the only woman in danger. At the end of season one, Joe’s ex-girlfriend Candace (Ambyr Childers), who we all thought was dead, made her epic return.
“She is a survivor,” Gamble says. “And now she’s faced with some really difficult decisions about how she’s going to move forward.”
As for other new cast members, Disney and Jane the Virgin star Jenna Ortega has signed on for season two, as Ellie.
According to Deadline, Ellie is “a teenager who grew up fast in the big city, [who] likes to act and appear older than her years. Secretly living with minimal supervision or nurturing in her life, she must take care of herself and isn’t afraid to get into murky waters to make a little cash. This includes working cons on the adults around her, including Joe Goldberg.”
The publication also reports that Heathers star James Scully will also feature, playing Love’s brother Forty Quinn.
Forty is as “confident, opinionated and privileged — at his best, a charming buddy; at his worst, a razor-sharp bully. He’s said to be in the midst of completing a 12-step program for drug and alcohol abuse and relies heavily on Love’s support,” however “it never takes much of a shove for him to fall back off the wagon,” says Deadline.
You will return to Netflix on December 26.
