It’s no secret Game of Thrones fans have been disappointed with the direction some of their favourite characters have taken in the final few episodes. So much so, a group of salty individuals even started a petition urging the creators of the show to remake the final season. Titled “Remake Game of Thrones Season 8 with Competent Writers,” one million people have signed the Change.org petition that claims “David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on.” Yikes.
Now, ahead of today’s penultimate episode, Sophie Turner has added more fuel to the fire, admitting in an interview with The Sunday Times Magazine that viewers will most likely be disappointed with how the series ends and where her character ends up.
“It’s a great ending, from my perspective, it’s very satisfying,” says Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in the hit HBO series. “But I think a lot of people will be upset too.”

While she declined to give any further details about what the final episode entails, she did confess to telling her husband Joe Jonas how the show ends. A lover of the series himself, Turner said the singer was furious that she
“I’ve just told Joe. But he’s so mad at me—he loves the show!” she said. “Well, I have to tell someone, otherwise I’ll burst.
This morning, Turner paid tribute to her co-stars and even thanked her on-screen character for changing her life.
Sansa, Thank you for teaching me resilience, bravery and what true strength really is. Thank you teaching me to be kind and patient and to lead with love. I grew up with you,” she began,
“I fell in love with you at 13 and now 10 years on.. at 23 I leave you behind, but I will never leave behind what you’ve taught me. To the show and the incredible people who make it, thank you for giving me the best life and drama lessons I could have ever asked for. Without you I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Thank you for giving me this chance all those years ago. And finally to the fans. Thank you for falling in love with these characters and supporting this show right through till the end. I’ll miss this more than anything.”
The final episode airs today!
