Oi SLTs! The new trailer for the third and final season of Heartbreak High just dropped and we’re equally obsessed and not ready to say goodbye.
However, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, and that includes eshay slang, iconic Aussie references, and all the chaos, love, and awkwardness that comes with being an Australian teen just trying to survive high school.
Released over TikTok by the cast themselves, the trailer revealed that for their final year at school, the friend group still have a couple more marks (or murals) to leave on the school… muck-up day mayhem and all.
Here’s everything we know about season 3 of Netflix’s Heartbreak High reboot.

What is season three of Heartbreak High about?
As the trailer opens with a bang (Charlie’s Angels style), we’re reminded of just how wild muck-up day pranks can get.
And, if there’s one thing we know about this group of Aussie teens, it’s that they’re taking it to the next level.
The final season follows the characters scrambling to cover up a revenge prank gone wrong, following a who-done-it style plot as buried secrets boil over, exploding among the already tumultuous reality that is transitioning into adulthood (*shudders*).
With new characters, relationships, situationships, and revelations, we’re more than ready to binge until all of our questions are answered.
Tuck in for the trailer of Heartbreak High season three:
When does Heartbreak High season 3 start?
The season will go live on March 25, over a year after they wrapped shooting.
Where can you watch Heartbreak High season 3?
You can watch the full series after it’s release on Netflix in Australia.
What characters will be in Heartbreak season 3?
The band is indeed back together for Heartbreak High’s third and final season, and yes, that includes Malakai, who left fans devastated at the end of season two as we watched him fly far away from Hartley High… and Amerie.
Fear not, the whole iconic cast has returned, including the unstoppable trio, Amerie (Ayesha Madon), Darren (James Majoos) and Quinni (Chloé Hayden), as well as our all-time favourites, Malakai (Thomas Weatherall), Harper (Asher Yasbincek), Ca$h (Will McDonald), Missy (Sherry-Lee Watson), Spider (Bryn Chapman Parish), and Sasha (Gemma Chua-Tran).
There are also a few new faces in the mix, most notably Ioane Sa’ula, known and loved for his role as Vince on Bump.
Fans are divided about this new addition as it’s clear he’s going to be a new love interest for Amerie… who never ended up reading Malakai’s heart-pouring letter from last season (Anne with an E fans know this feeling all too well).
What are fans saying about the Heartbreak High trailer?
Fans have been waiting for this moment for a while, especially after Will McDonald revealed to Pedestrian TV that this season will be an “emotional rollercoaster.”
“OH MY GODDD FINALLY MY FAMILY IS COMING BACK,” one user commented.

While many are hoping to see relationships like Missy and Spider or Harper and Ant work out, more than anything else, viewers are praying for Amerie and Malakai to be endgame.
Now, resting easy with the knowledge that Malakai will in fact be gracing our screens this season, our hopes and prayers might just be answered.
See you at schoolies!
