According to TMZ, someone broke into Duff’s Beverly Hills home on Wednesday, July 19, and took hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewellery.
“This is a scary and upsetting situation for anyone to go through, but Hilary is thankful that her family, her staff, her home and her pets are all safe,” her rep told Us Weekly.
“That said, she has a significant security team in place that will work with the authorities on this incident and handle security measures moving forward.”
Freakishly, the star had posted snaps of her adventures abroad with her 5-year-old son Luca while the alleged burglars were making their way though her home.
The 29-year-old actress is latest star to be hit in a string of Hollywood burglaries this year. In the past few months, Kendall Jenner, Nicki Minaj and Alanis Morissette have had strangers invading their home.
