“I am so excited to be here. It’s so nice to have someone nominated in your show,” she said referring to her co-star Courtney Miller who’s nominated for the Graham Kennedy award for most popular new talent. “I feel really great. I am nervous but feel awesome.”

It’s been three months since the star and her husband Matt Tooker—who are already parents of 3-year-old son Jack—welcomed their new bub into the world. And while the soap actress says she loves being at home with her babies, she’s ready to be back on set.

“I have had a really nice time being at home and being mum, but the acting bug is kicking back in and I’m getting ready to return and settle back in,” she said.

Opening up about her two little ones, the 36-year-old admitted she’d love for them to follow in her footsteps and try their hand at acting.

Penny announced she’d welcomed her new bub in March of this year. Taking to Instagram, she told her followers that the couple had named their precious bundle of joy Neve.

“A little ray of sunshine has come into the world☀️Thank you to the wonderful staff at the Sydney Adventist Hospital for your kindness and extraordinary care. Especially our favourite Doc – Peter Wood and the beautiful nursing staff, particularly Ali, Maria, Chrissie, Anne, Bron and Chris.”Nurses really are angels on earth. 💫Now excuse me while I go and stare at my baby for 3 hours,” she wrote.

Last year, Penny and her husband, Matt Tooker – who are already parents of 3-year-old son Jack, spoke to WHO about the joy when they discovered they were pregnant with their second child.

“We feel this real thrill that Jack is finally going to have a sibling, because we weren’t sure he was ever going to,” Penny, who plays Dr Tori Morgan in Home and Away, told WHO.
